Sometimes a career takes a different turn than you had planned. That is how Shureluck came into being.

Until 2019, I worked in the financial sector, focusing on digital transformation and compliance projects. During that time, entrepreneurs and private individuals began approaching me, directly or through their networks, without my seeking them out. They were in disputes with financial institutions, fellow shareholders or business partners and asked whether I could help. In several cases, I was able to help de-escalate the conflict and reach a solution. Sometimes this also resulted in compensation from the other party.

Those experiences made me think. I noticed that the way financial institutions apply compliance rules and put their customers' interests first can differ considerably in practice. Customers do not always receive the care they should expect. This led me to focus my work entirely on supporting entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals and private individuals in disputes with their bank, insurer or asset manager. My background in controlling, financial law and financial products and services provides a solid foundation for that work.
